Asus, a world-renowned PC peripheral and component manufacturer, is known to offer a range of "ROG" devices optimized specifically for gamers. At CES 2017, Asus has just featured one more new ROG product that is quite different from what it has been. It's a gaming router called ROG Rapture.

RT-AC5300 Special Gaming Variant.
ROG Rapture, or GT-AC5300, carries a basic design similar to their top-tier router, the RT-AC5300. Asus adds the ROG logo ornament at the top of the device and also adjusts the color of the router with the typical ROG line. They embed some gaming support features that make this router suitable bearing the name "ROG".

Offer Game Boost and Gaming Port.
One of the supporting features of gaming that is present in the ROG Rapture router is Game Boost. This feature has indeed been offered in RT-AC5300, but it seems Asus has added some more functionality to the feature offered in ROG Rapture. In addition, Asus also added Gaming Port that can be used to give more priority to the PC that will be used for online gaming. Both of these features will help users get the optimal priority for the data packets of the game so the game can be played more smoothly and free lag.
The ROG Rapture is equipped with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports for the LAN, a considerable amount for a home-based router today. In addition, Asus also equip this gaming router with 1x Gigabit Eth. for WAN, 2x USB 3.0, and tri-band Wi-Fi as offered by RT-AC5300, which offers a maximum data rate of 5300 Mbps. Unfortunately, it is not known when Asus will officially release this interesting router.
